the only thing u have to do on the BCR is change the mode of those 2 rows of knobs to rel1. u can click on act and assign parameters and controls of plugins to those 2 rows of knobs. So, i then opened the generic control surface and assigned the other top and 2nd row of knobs to controls from the geneic control surface box down on the left. then click back to the eq, and u can continue controlling with that same knob from the value u left it before.

u dont get the led updates on the bcr but u can control anything just as it would be full duplex! e.g click on the eq, make a change with a knob, then click on a reverb and make a change with same knob it works just like bi directional. By doing that, u can use the bottom 2 rows of knobs to control things in sonar. I select the BCR2000 preset in the ACT plugin, and send the midi messages to the BCR. use a combination of ACT plugin and The Generic surface plugin.

I have been using the bcr2000 for a few years and I have been using all the knobs to control plugins! I found AJ's software and it really is a good!! he did a good job in everything!! But I have been using all the knobs on the BCR but not with AJ's plugin. Hi people!!! i had just run into this forum accidently!!! I have not, however, forgotten about this feature request and hope to look into it shortly. However, I started a new job in March and it has been very demanding. Quite a few requests have been made for this. I know that this plugin has now been downloaded over 4,000 times - it does work, there are quite a few satisfied users (including me!) so persevere, we'll get it working, I'm still lurking around. A sysx file was bundled with later versions of the plugin to make this setup a bit less painful, you can use Sonar to send this to the BCR if you wish and it should configure everything for you. Check that the BCR is in the correct mode (see the Behringer instruction manual) and verify that the bank switches have indeed been correctly ungrouped for the preset you are using - if you set the top rotaries to some position and then press these four switches, they should NOT cause the rotary settings to change, as they normally do (because they are switching encoder groups in normal mode).Īll controls should be transmitting on channel 16 with the correct assignments. If they are not, the BCR is not communicating with Sonar and you need to resolve this first. Then go to the MIDI event view for the track and confirm that MIDI events are being recorded. Then record to the track and wiggle some knobs. Also a good idea to check that the BCR is actually communicating properly with Sonar - remove the control surface from the Sonar menu and then select the BCR as input to a MIDI track. There's quite a lot of troubleshooting tips in this thread already so I would suggest you have a quick trawl through it first. If I go back to the control/surface window, I notice that BCR2000control-1 is still there but the input and output ports are now blank. I then close this window, and still nothing, the BCR2000 does not control anything. Then on the control/surfaces window I see BCR2000control-1 with the appropriate input and output port, BCR2000. I add a new controller and choose the BCR2000control with input port BCR2000 and output port BCR2000. In Sonar 8, I go to options then to controller/surfaces. I sent the data to my BCR200 and nothing…

I went ahead and still set the CC values for them as instructed on Aj’s manual I couldn’t find the momentary setting box.

I just don’t know how to ungroup those 4 bank buttons. I downloaded BC manager and I was able to configure everything as instructed by Aj using the layout window in AC manager. I would appreciate it if you could export the. Hey Susan, thank you so much for your help. syx file for you later, but as aj said it's pretty straightforward to program it directly from the BCR front panel. If you can't resolve this I can export a. You can find out more about it on the Yahoo Group. I agree! For one thing, it forces you to stay on an outdated Java "BC Manager" is an excellent substitute, but the link I have for it, is either defunct or just down temporarily. The BCEdit utility is, frankly, more of a hindrance than a help in my opinion.
